“STORIES FROM AIDS ACTIVISTS IN SOUTHERN AFRICA”

This movie tells of the difficult but attainable gender equality that can help curtail the Aids pandemic that is sweeping the sub-Saharan Africa. The most vulnerable are women who are infected by unfaithful husbands. Taboos prevent women from to their husbands about condom use, being monogamous, and sexuality in general has become life “life threatening.” As a young AIDS activist says, “young women must learn that they control their bodies and lives.”
